Eyeshield 21 [Episode 26] A Real Beast?!
Panther finally gets to play. The Aliens changed to Moonsault formation and Panther scored a touchdown. The Aliens and Panther continue to dominate the match with their defense and attack using Moonsault formation and their shuttle pass. They soon scored another touchdown with 4 minutes + left.
The story then goes into a bit of flashback about the coach’s life story and about how Panther respected him.
Panther then approach Eyeshield 21 and triggered the Beast in Eyeshield 21. Eyeshield acknowledge the challenge and manage to score a touchdown. Eyeshield 21 passed out after scoring and the match ended with the NASA Aliens winning 33-32.
Football clinic explains that an interception is when the defense catches a pass in midair. It’s a big play that puts the defense back on the offense.
Eyeshield 21 [Episode 27] Take Cerberus Back?!
The NASA Aliens had their passports destroyed by Hiruma for not winning more than 10 points. While Deimon Devil Bats have to leave Japan for not winning the game, they embark to America for a special training. (refer to previous episode for the bet)
Hiruma brought Cerberus up into the plane and asked Sena to look after it. Meanwhile in the plane, a little girl has a stuff doll which looks exactly the same as Cerberus. 2 criminals inserted contraband gems into the stuffed dog and hope that the little girl will be able to smuggle it out of the airport for them. On the way back from the toilet, Jumonji mistaken the stuffed dog for Cerberus and return it its original sit.
The girl search for her stuff dog, Michael and retrieve Cerberus. She later kept Cerberus in her luggage. Later at the airport, Sena and Montakun were retrieving Cerberus from the criminals who taught that Cerberus was the stuffed dog with their contraband gems in it. They were later arrested and Cerberus was retrieved. The team then later arrived at a stadium for a football match. (I think Hiruma used the bounty money for those tickets)
Football clinic explains about the roles of a quarterback. They’re the leaders over the offense and are the first to throw the ball. They need the intelligence to quickly make decisions and come up with strategies.
Eyeshield 21 [Episode 28] American Football Downtown?!
Sena and Montakun were out to buy breakfast. On the way, there was a snatch thief and the police fired 3 shots in the air. Both of them were scared and ran away got lost. They stumble across a football match and the join in the play as the town team was shot of players and they were pleading for their help. The losers march behind the winning team in the parade.
After the match, celebration begins. Out of a sudden, Big Bear’s wife was about to deliver but they require a doctor who is currently fishing at the dock. The fastest way to get there is running over. Sena ran over and fetch the doctor over and Big Bear’s wife delivers a healthy baby boy.
Football clinic explains about the roles of a runing back. A running back gets the ball from the quarterback and runs into enemy territory dodging all the tackles.
Eyeshield 21 [Episode 29] Ultimate Combo! The Devil Gunmen?!
The team was supposed to meet Hiruma at the beach but the arrived early. Everyone parted ways to have some fun and to gather again later. Hiruma was out searching for coach Doburoku to live out his dream to play in the Christmas Bowl.
Sena and gang (Sena, Montakun and Mamori) stumble upon The Kid, of Seibu Wild Gunmen and his coach. Meanwhile, there is a football beach tournament offering $1000 prize money and steaks. Sena and gang decided to team up with The Kid and his coach to form a team with the name Devil Gunmen!
Devil Gunmen teams were leveled with the Sexy Queens. It is hard to play with only 2 real players in the team as Sena cannot reveal himself as Eyeshield 21 with Mamori around. Tetsuma suddenly appeared in the beach and help the team to victory.
Devil Gunmen advanced to the finals and faced Too Tattoed, the two timed champions! Two Tattoed quickly scored some points and was leading 7-0. Hiruma then join the team replacing Mamori as Coach Doburoku issues Hiruma a challenge to win the championship and in return he will coach the Devil Bats. They then counter the opponents play and won the match 13-11.
Football clinic explains about the roles of a wide receiver. He catches the quarterback’s passes. He needs to be able to jump higher than everyone else and make catches.
Eyeshield 21 [Episode 30] At the Gates of Hell?!
It begins with a simple introduction of Musashi. The kicker of team which Hiruma didn’t search for a replacement. Hiruma believes Musashi will be back to the team one day.
Coach Doburoku then had Indian Run training session with the team. The slowest runner will be poured with boiling beer and he will dash to the front of the line. At night, coach Doburoku challenge Sena to run past him which Sena failed. The coach informed him that he has a fatal flaw but refuses to enlighten him.
The Coach explains to the team where each team stands. He also explains that they will not make it in the 2nd year. Hiruma proposes the Death March, a torturing training which also can ends an athelete career. It’s their only hope to get to be in the Christmas Bowl.
Everyone gets to decide whether to participate in the Death March or get on the plane and return home. A training that leaves you behind if you collapse. Montakun was the first to agree to the training and soon everyone followed.
Football clinic explains about the roles of the offense line. When you’re on offense, they protect the QB and running backs.

Eyeshield 21 [Episode 21] Fly, Devil Bat?!
The tightly fought match is in the final quarter and the scores are pretty close. Hiruma is going full offense to get 2 touchdowns with 12 minutes left. Hiruma continues to pass the ball to Montakun despite Kamaguruma keep chariot bumping him.
With 2 minutes left, Montakun finally prove that no one can beat him in catching after hearing some words of encouragement. With little time left, they have to get another touchdown instead of kicking it over the goal line to tie the game. It was down to Eyeshield 21 to dash forward but halfway through the line was held to a standstill, Eyeshield 21 has no choice but to fly over the line and scored a touchdown. The game is tied at 20-20 but Deimon Devil Bats won the match (most touchdowns scored) and the rights to represent Japan!
Football clinic explains that when a team fumbles the ball and the enemy takes it, the enemy will get to go on the offense. Fumble is when a player drops the ball.
Eyeshield 21 [Episode 22] A Mysterious Girl Appears?!
After winning the match against the Taiyo Sphinx, a journalist wants to reveal the secret identity of Eyeshield 21 and hired a spy to uncover the truth. The mysterious girl got caught and she reveals that she is being hired to find out the identity of Eyeshield 21. At the training, she also challenges Eyeshield 21 to race down the mountain which Montakun accepts. If she losses, she will let it go but if she win she will get to know who Eyeshield 21 is.
During the race, she ran over a twig and tumble over a cliff hanging by some roots. Eyeshield 21 grab some hose and tight it to the tree and manage to save her in the nick of time. She then reveals that she took this job to find her missing brother who left home to seek fame in football.
Football clinic explains that the game is start with a kick off from the team’s 35 yard line.
Eyeshield 21 [Episode 23] The Weightless Man?!
After a brief interview with the NASA Aliens, both Panther and Sena wanted to play against each other. Panther is a dropout of the team and uses his grandma’s saving to fly over to Japan with a hope to play in the game.
While in Japan, the coach’s cat had gone missing. Panther was given a chance to play if he is able to retrieve the cat. Panther met Sena and together they went and search the cat together.
Football clinic explains the difference between return touchdown from a regular touchdown. A return touchdown is when a receiving team takes a kicked ball and runs it all the way back for a touchdown.
Eyeshield 21 [Episode 24] Blitz! Japan Vs USA?!
It’s match day between Deimon Devil Bats and the American NASA Aliens. Kimura and their coach made a wager for the match. If Deimon lose by 10 points they have to leave Japan, whereas if the NASA Aliens lose 10 points or more they cannot return to America.
Himura started by blitzing the line but they cannot break through the NASA Aliens Muscle Barrier. NASA Aliens is leads 14-0 in the first quarter while the Deimon Devil Bats continue blitzing to counter their Shuttle Pass leaving their defense vulnarable. Finally, the shuttle Pass in broken and Deimon Devils Bats is on the offense. Meanwhile Panther is hungry to play and waiting patiently to pounce on Eyeshield 21.
Football clinic explains what happens in a blitz. A blitz is when the secondary defenders behind the line charge forward. It’s a power move where you sacrifice defense to stop the opponent’s play.
Eyeshield 21 [Episode 25] The Caged Black Panther?!
Eyeshield 21 wanted to play against Panther but Panther isn’t part of the team. Montakun told him that in order to get Panther on the field, all he has to do is keep winning and eventually Panther will be on the field. Eyeshield 21 continues blazing down the field and scores a touchdown. The game is now 14-12.
Deimon Devil Bats continue to outplay and leading the NASA Aliens 26-21. The NASA Aliens are under pressure and making mistakes. The NASA Aliens and Panther beg their coach to let Panther play. The coach has a flashback reminisce his life as a player but still is unconvinced as Panther never undergo training.
The players convinced that he had training with the team and they even had a new formation created together Panther. The coach agreed and instructs him to stop Eyeshield 21.
Football clinic explains about bump. It’s a technique where you shove aside the receiver so that you can prevent him from successfully catching the pass.
Eyeshield 21 [Episode 16-20] September 25, 2009

Eyeshield 21 [Episode 16] Sayonara, Kurita?!
It is the team’s first training session together. While on the way home, Kurita parted ways and went home alone. He encounters 3 rope bullies ruining the entire shopping malls decoration which was prepare for the festival. However, the bullies left and Kurita was seen in the uniform and fled to avoid trouble.
The shop owners reported to the school and the police about it. Kurita was afraid that the team will be banned from the tournament and wrecked everyone’s dream to reach Christmas Bowl and resigned from the team. Sena and the team were not able to let Kurita leave the team and search for the main culprits.
Football clinic explains about Christmas Bowl. It is the All-Japan High School Championship Game where the top teams from eastern and western Japan clashes in one climatic game!
Eyeshield 21 [Episode 17] The Kid and Iron Horse?!
Hiruma brought them out on a barbeque field trip but in order to eat meat they have to get the correct catching route. Each time it ended up Cerberus eating it all up. Later the team met with Jo Tetsuma and The Kid of Seibu Wild Gunmans. Tetsuma join their quiz and ended up eating all the meat.
The whole team and hungry and frustrated and wanted to walk out but Hiruma explain that routes are important. He brought the team to the Spring Tokyo Tournament where Ojo White Knight is competing against Seibu Wild Gunmans in the finals. This is where the team realizes that the routes are important.
Football clinic explains about routes. Routes are where receiver takes when trying to catch a pass. By following the strategy to the T, you should be able to catch the pass for sure!
Eyeshield 21 [Episode 18] A Slacker’s Pride?!
Hiruma found out in America Football Monthly magazine that the America’s Alien will be playing against a team in Japan. Hiruma found out that the draw was fixed and make some changes. At the same time, Taiyo Sphinx team came and Hiruma challenges them for the right to represent Japan against the Aliens.
The Haha brothers quit the team and headed to the nearby restaurant. The Taiyo Sphinx were there talking about Deimon Devil Bats with a lousy line in #50,#51 and #52 which were the 3 of them. They later got beaten up and decided to rejoin the team.
Football clinic explains that NFL stands for National Football League, America’s Top Football League which boasts the greatest power and speed in the world!
Eyeshield 21 [Episode 19] The Lower-class Laughs at its Challengers?!
It’s match day against the Taiyo Sphinx team at their school where they even build a pyramid to view the opposition’s strategy. Taiyo Sphinx is famous for their Invisible Pyramid Line where no one can breakthrough their line.
Kurita, Komusubi and the Haha brothers fail to hold the line and conceded a touchdown. Kurita is being torn apart until Hiruma steps in a build their confidence. Kurita and gang held the line and forced the ball out of the opponent. Eyeshield 21 dashed the line and scored a touchdown.
Football clinic explains about formation. A formation is an alignment to set up players for various strategies for both offense and defense mode.
Eyeshield 21 [Episode 20] The Sphinx’s Secret Weapon?!
Everyone in the audience is supporting the Taiyo Sphinx. However, Hiruma wants to prove them wrong by breaking the Invisible Pyramid Line. They are even in the leading 14-13 in the 2nd quarter.
Taiyo Sphinx felt humiliated and call upon their secret weapon Kamaguruma who acts as a war chariot. Kamaguruma breaks Deimon’s play after play and preventing Montakun from advancing. This is when Montakun felt useless and begins to doubt if football is not for him as well.
Football clinic explains about what kind of play is sack. Sacking is when you tackle the quarterback to prevent him from passing. It’s a huge deal when you totally squash the opponent’s pass.
Eyeshield 21 [Episode 11-15] September 17, 2009

Eyeshield 21 [Episode 11] Oath Under the Setting Sun!
Sena and Montakun were out on an errand. They grab a copy of sports news and saw that Shin lost to the Sankaku Punks 7-6. Incidentally they bump into the street punk Rui Habashira from Zokugaku Chameleons claiming to be the best linebacker.
Sena and Montakun were out on another errand and they met Shin on the way. Shin figured out Sena as Eyeshield 21. It was also the same time that Montakun got rob by a motorcycle theft of the club funds. Shin and Sena went after them and recovered the money.
Meanwhile Hiruma arranged a practice match against the Zokugaku Chameleons.He made lots of news about it and even invite the Zokugaku team over and masked himself as Eyeshield 21 to irritate them.
Football clinic explains about the linebacker position. It’s a position where you get to tackle the opponent holding the ball. A linebacker has to be strong and fast!
Eyeshield 21 [Episode 12] Max Catch!
It’s Montakun debut in football after he didn’t make it baseball. It is practice match day against the Zokugaku Chameleons. It started brightly with Montakun stealing the limelight with a touchdown. He even has the cheers from the baseball team and their coach. Deimon Devil Bats leads the game and fell behind later.
Sakuraba was waiting to challenge Eyeshield 21. He has the killing aura which froze Sena up with shivers down his spine. Eyeshield 21 was purposely hurt in the game and he is completely broken.
Football clinic explains that after a touchdown is scored, you kick a ball to score bonus points. If a ball is kick in between the posts, the team scores 1 point whereas if they score another touchdown they get 2 bonus points.
Eyeshield 21 [Episode 13] The Terror of the Chameleon!
The Zokugaku Chameleons continues to use brute force and violence in the game. However, Montakun was high in spirit and kept believing Eyeshield 21 will overcome his fear despite being badly beaten up.
Eyeshield 21 still trembles in fear but seeing that Montakun being at his limits. He tried to overcome his fear by believing. He later realizes that Sakaruba might have long hands but he lacks speed as he is not a complete player like Shin. Both Eyeshield 21 and Montakun tormented the opponents with a 46-28 victory.
Football clinic explains about the wide receiver position. A position that is given to player with good catching abilities.
Eyeshield 21 [Episode 14] The Scorching Hell Tower!
After their convincing victory in the practice match, everyone wanted to join the football club. Everyone went through an interview process but due to the overwhelming response, Himura had a tryout.
The tryout was held at the Tokyo tower. Anyone who manages to bring some ice cube to the top of the tokyo tower before it melts will pass the tryout. There are also some obstacles along the way, Ceberus waiting to pounce on the participants and a scorching hot room to pass through before anyone can reach the top. Komusubi who idolizes Kurita, Yukimitsu who was encouraged by Eyeshield 21 made the cut along with the Ha-ha brothers. (Nickname given by Himura to the 3 bullies in episode 1)
Football clinic explains about the team manager’s job. The team manager does the team’s administration. He supports the players and set up games and stuffs.
Eyeshield 21 [Episode 15] Find Eyeshield 21!
Mamori wanted to send a memo to the football team and found out that she does not have Eyeshield 21’s number and asked everyone. She later became suspicious and followed Sean around the next day.
At training, Hiruma noticed that Sena lacks stamina. Hiruma then issues a threat to the school and Sakuraba’s gangsters to catch Eyeshield 21, failing which will have to bear the consequences.
Sakuraba then kidnap Mamori and asked him to meet him at a warehouse. Eyeshield 21 went alone and dashed all obstacles before uncovering himself as Eyeshield 21. This is when Himura steps and asked the entire team to dress up as Eyeshield 21.
Football clinic explains that shoulder pads and other protective gears are attached under the uniform to protect them from tackles without getting hurt.
Eyeshield 21 [Episode 6-10] September 14, 2009

Eyeshield 21 [Episode 6] – The Pierce of the Spear Tackle!
Deimon Devil Bats are defending against the mighty Ojo White Knight. Himura came up with an intercepting plan and allow the White Knights to pass the ball around freely. Eyeshield managed to intercept the pass but fumbles the ball while catching it. However, Himura caught it and launches a counterattack.
With the ball near the end zone, Ojo White Knight’s coach brought on Shin, the greatest linebacker in mid school. He read the game perfectly and tackled Eyeshield 21 twice. The ball then switch sides and Shin score a touchdown.
Football clinic explains that about how long is a game. The game is played for 60 minutes separated into 4th quarters. 15 minutes in each quarter.
Eyeshield 21 [Episode 7] – Fighting to Win!
After leading by 6 points (in Episode 6), Deimon White Bats were torn apart by Ojo White Knights. Failing to score a point and Sena is being tackled by Shin time after time like a spear piercing into his body.
Sena was about to give up at half time and return to his managerial position. However, his teammates felt the other way explaining that they were playing because of Eyeshield 21 and it’s their last tournament. Sena changed his mind and return to field. Despite trying to overcome Shin’s piercing tackle, he still failed!
With 4.48 left to play, Himura walked out of the team giving up any last hope of winning as they down 55 to 6. However, Eyeshield 21 voice out that he hasn’t given up and need just a little more time.
Football clinic explains about huddle. A huddle is a meeting where players plan its next move. The players only have 25 seconds to huddle up and pick a play!
EyeShield 21 [Episode 8] – Never Quit!
The battle between Sena and Shin hit the climax but alas Sena managed to score a touchdown with the speed of light and outrun Shin’s spear tackle. The game ended and Deimon Devil Bats were kick out of the tournament.
Back in school, Sena cherished the footballing moments sorting out photographs and he hope it would last longer. However, he found that there are 2 Christmas Bowl. One in Spring and the other in Fall. The winner of the Fall tournament gets to play in Christmas Bowl.
Football clinic explains about Running Back’s position. A running Back takes the ball and run forward. He needs to be fast athlete for this position.
EyeShield 21 [Episode 9] – The Catching Master!
On the way to school, Sena met Kaminari Montaro (aka Montakun) whom is a baseball fanatic living a dream to be the catching hero. Montakun idolizes Masaru Honjo of the Shuuei Bear’s and plans to be like him someday.He went for the tryouts but ended up as a 3rd String player(backup for backup) which ended his dream to play baseball.
Meanwhile, Deimon Devil Bats are looking for a catcher and Sena feels that Montakun can fill that position. Montakun was down in the dumps until he heard an interview (while watching video) from his idol and he decided to join the football team.
Football clinic explains about the quarterback position. A quarterback is the core of the offense; he chooses the plays, throws the ball and leads the team’s charge.
EyeShield 21 [Episode 10] – A Hero’s Qualification!
Montakun joined the team. During their training session, Montakun found out that Sena is Eyeshield 21 despite all the acting. They decided to pay Sakuraba a visit at the hospital.
Meanwhile Sakuraba came to realize that he is good at nothing and only stands in people way. The image created him as a superstar but deep down he really achieves is tearing him apart. Shin even remarked that their victory recently did not make any difference whether if he is on the field.
Sena and Montakun tried to cheer him up and ended up acting as Eyeshield 21 challenging him in a match. Sakuraba gained some confidence and swear he will practice harder!
Football clinic explains about flag football. Flag football is related to football. Instead of tackling players, they remove the flag wrapped around their waist! Some even held competitions on this.
Eyeshield 21 [Epsiode 1-5] September 11, 2009

Eyeshield 21 [Episode 1] – The Man with Lightspeed Legs
The anime begins with the introduction of characters which are Kobayakawa Sena, Mamori,Hiruma and Kurita. Sena enrolled in middle school with his childhood friend, Mamori and is on a mission to make some new friends. Sena is always a target for bullies and one the first day of school he got picked by bullies as well. The bullies decided to captivate Sena in a nearby shed which happens to be the football club.
Sena was saved by Kurita who thought they have come to be part of their football team. Kurita explains about his dream in playing in the Christmas Bowl. Sena wanted to cherish his first new friend and prevent the bullies from getting revenge, he dash away with his lightspeed being spotted by Hiruma.
Football clinic explains that each time 11 players can be playing in the field and the players can be switch between offensive and defensive.
Eyeshield 21 [Episode 2] – Let’s Play Football
It is their first training session and they ended up competing in the 40 yards dash. With Hiruma running at 5.2 seconds and Sena at 5.0 seconds. Hiruma was not satisfied and believed that Sena can run faster. He then ask his dog Cerberus to chase after him. The speed reduced to 4.2 seconds, the speed of a professional footballer.
They then prepared for their first tournament which begins tomorrow. However, they only have 3 players but a team requires at least 11 players. And so the recruitment begins!
Football clinic explains 40 yards which is about 36 meters. 40 yards is used to measure all kinds of aspects of a players ability.
EyeShield 21 [Episode 3] – Blaze a Path Down the Field!
It is match day and Sena’s debut as the team’s manager made up of recruits from other clubs. The match is between Devil Bats (Sena’s Team) vs Koigahama Cupids (3rd Year team where every player brings their girlfriends along)
The first 3 quarters are tied with no goals. In the 4th quarter, Koigahama Cupids manage to score 3 points through a kick. With the team down to 10 men, Sena is forced to replace the Ishimaru (from the athelete club). Using the nickname Eyeshield 21, he became the team’s last hope with 9 seconds left to dash to the finish line. Sena blazed through the field and earn the team’s first win!
Football clinic explains about scoring system. Points will be obtained is the balls reaches the end zone or touchdown which earns the team 6 points.
EyeShield 21 [Episode 4] – What I Hold In My Hands!
With the first victory in the bag, its time find out who their next opponents. Unfortunately, they are drawn against the powerful Ojo White Knights.
This episode also reviews about the Ojo White Knights, Sakuraba (male model) and Ojo’s MVP, Seijuro Shin.
Football clinic explains about offense. The offense has four chances to advance the ball 10 yards. If they can advance 10 yards, they get another 4 tries.
EyeShield 21 [Episode 5] – Half-Second Bodyguards!
It is Deimon Devil Bats vs Ojo White Knights. With Sakuraba and Shin on the bench, Hiruma felt that they stood a chance and rely it on Eyeshield 21. Shinryuji Nagas were also in attendance to scout on Ojo White Knights.
At first, Eyeshield 21 trembles in fear. When Kurita explains that the linesman will become his shield for half seconds, Eyeshield 21 gained confidence and blaze through the field and unexpectedly gains 6 points. Deimon Devil Bats are in the lead. Devil Bats will now be on the defensive with Sakuraba and Shin leading the offensive attack. (Episode 6 opening)
Football clinic explains about the lineman’s position. A linesman holds off the enemy defenders and opens a path for the offense.
