This game is going towards all soccer maniacs out there who wanna try their hand on managing a professional football club such as Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus or even lower league clubs such as Bath City. Never heard of the club before? Same here.

Nothing much has been changed, so I hope you can refer to my previous post on the earlier version. Sorry, I don’t have much time to spare today and I just started playing it. The link is as below:

http://itsahanzo.wordpress.com/2008/11/16/football-manager-handheld-2008-psp/

If you think this game is easy too play by selecting the top flight clubs, think again! I started as Manchester United club’s manager and it begins with pre-season friendly matches which I won comfortably 1-0, 2-0 and 4-0. I lost out to Chelsea FC on penalty kicks and subsequently I lost the first 3 BPL matches to the newly promoted teams. I got frustrated and I restarted the game!

Guess what? I fair better this time around but the results were not entirely overwhelming with majority of wins, some draw and a few losses. I qualified through the next phase of European Champions League chalking out 4 wins out of 4. Great huh? Not really. I got kicked out by Chelsea FC on the League Cup and subsequent match was against Chelsea FC which I lost too. I got sacked immediately … so sad.

Why am I explaining the above experiences are that this game will be no walkover, although you have chosen a the rich and famous clubs. The game is well balance as you will notice Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool dropping points and even being humbled by other clubs. The treatment rooms will be busy with injured players. Star players will come knocking on your door asking for transfers or commenting your management style to the media and even the board will be giving comments if you overprotect your players.

The noticeable change so far is that there is a bookie styled odds where they will predict the outcome of the matches on the teams. It will also give comments such as Manchester United is predicted to win the match comfortably but the real outcome is a setback. Don’t fall for this anymore =.=.

So if you enjoy your football moments on games like FIFA or Pro Evolution series, why not try your hands on managing a club today in BPL, Seria A, La Liga and etc?

This game or rather not game to some really has been given the perfect name to it. All you need to do is just FLOW with the game. It has no missions, does not require any level up or does it require any gold to purchase anything.

Everyone or anyone of all ages can play it. It does not require any brains or thinking whatsoever. Like I mentioned before just FLOW with it. You begin with a worm like creature (like plankton or those bacteria) and gradually consume other creatures to grow into a beautiful one which makes you grow.

All you need to do is just keep eating others and move on deeper into the levels. Don’t worry if you loses your other parts (erm … when you consume something it gradually be a part of it until it is fully grown or else it will be lost when some other creatures touches you) as it does not matter because you will not lose any life. Haha … coz you do not even have life to it.

While consume other creature, you will notice that there is 2 creatures with blue or red arrows to it. The blue creature allows you to surface to the previous level while the red creature will move you deeper into another level. You do not necessary have to move up or down unless there is nothing less to consume.

When you move to the deepest level, by now your creature should more or less be fully grown and looks very beautiful except the one which is round (I hate the look of it I dunno why); you will find there is a small unique creature which you can consume. Why you consume it, you will move on to the next area. Having said that, it means that you have completed the stage and you will be given the option to select other creatures to play. You will also have the option not to move on and continue playing with you creature and make it even larger by moving up and down and gradually consume the creatures until you felt you need a change.

This game is really relaxing and will help to reduce stress and even insomnia when you have difficulty sleeping. You do not have any specific mission or target and just play with the FLOW. The best part is that it is auto save and there is no specific buttons that has special moves or actions. All you need is to move the arrow keys or your analog joystick. There are 5 different creatures to play and is suitable for all ages. However if you are purchasing it as a collection, I wouldn’t recommend it unless the UMD is really cheap and affordable for you.

Are you ready to ride with the FLOW?

This is neither your daily combat game nor your normal RPG (role playing game). This is a Yu-Gi-Oh combat style game. Yes, you heard me right! Your movement, actions and consuming of potions and etc are made using your deck of equip cards. It’s quite unique and your fighting strategies will depend on how well you pick your cards. Will you go more on offense and equipped yourself with more guns and ammos or will you maintain a balance deck of guns and consumables

The Game
You will begin the game with a simple tutorial on the basics of equipping your armors, moving and shooting. After that, you will have to pick up the rest on your own.

Your Deck
A deck will consists of 40 cards of all categories which include Weapon, Action, Support, Item and Character. Customize your deck properly and you will be completing each mission easily. Editing your deck will be a frequent task and you will understand it when you play the game.

Cost
When you equip, used a certain card, dispose or even end your turn; you will be incurring at least 4 Cost points. The cost point determines the number of cost before it is your turn again. The more actions you make the more Cost points will be incurred. So it is better to strategies properly in order to kill your enemy before any alarm is being triggered.

Shop
After completing several missions, a shop will be open. The shop will enable you to purchase card packs. The points are earned from completing mission. You can redo missions which have been completed to farm points. The more you advance in the game, more stronger packs will be available. There is also single card available for sale but it is very expensive. It’s your choice!

Packs
Packs can be purchased from the shop. It can also be obtain for free but you have to retrieve it while attempting the mission. Some packs can be obtain through exploding the tin barrels, containers and etc. The packs available are MGS1, MGS2, MGS3 & CHRN

Ammo
I believe this will be the most important criteria in the game. I took me quite a while to figure out how to equip and what is ammo.  Some weapons require ammo while some does not. If you use a card which requires ammo, you will first need to equip it. Next, select the same card and equip it as ammo. Some compatible cards can also be equipped as ammo and these are useful as it can be used vice versa. Therefore, it is important to stock a few of these cards in your deck or else you will have to wait for the card to appear before you can shoot someone.

Pros and Cons
Well, I don’t think many people will love this game unless you have the patient to try it out for 30 minutes or more. The time might be less if you are a fast learner. It has an on-going storyline which I am not going to elaborate because I kinda ditch this game for another game and then return to this game to complete it.

The setback of this game is that when a mission fails at higher stage missions.  The time consume for each mission will increase gradually and it can take up to 2 hours per mission. Yea, a very lasting game! If you failed, 2 hours of your time is wasted! Sometimes while attempting a mission and playing halfway, you will have to abandon it and retry as it does not mention some require items need for the mission such as C4s. I don’t normally bring it around unless the mission requires one as it is a waste of my space.

For beginners, learn to play the game and advance until the shop is open. Then, grind through several completed missions to farm some points. Used the points and invest on the packs and try to get more weapons which do not use ammo. It helps a lot in the beginning.

It is a very fun and strategizing game to play which requires some thinking. It’s totally different from grinding in RPGs or FPS where both combine into a new game. I will be trying out Metal Gear Acid 2 when I complete Disgaea 2.

Undead Knights will be enjoyable for all God of War fanatics. The game play is quite similar but the fighting concept is different. You can hack and slash killing everything or you can turn the enemies into undead and it will be your armies. Cool isn’t it?

The Characters

There are 3 different characters to choose from and each has their own fighting styles and weapons. Romulus wields a large 2 handed sword. Remus is equipped with 2 single handed sword while Sylvia wields a scythe as their weapons.

The Skills

I would advice you to begin with the Easy mode to accumulate some Dark Energy points. Skills require Dark Energy points to be unlocked and upgraded. I would advice that you upgrade Strengthen Body and Strengthen Weapon at first and soon followed by Zombie Impact as it will help you very much in the game.

There is also some skills that will boost your character and skills greatly which are highlighted in green color. However, these skills have a setback to it. It will reduce your rank by 1 level each time you complete each chapter, not great!

When you complete a mode either in easy, normal or hell mode, you will unlock a weapon avatar which you can use while fighting. It does not come with any added bonus, just the outlook of it.

The Storyline

The 3 of them were betray by their King during a war and lost their lives. They made a pact with a mysterious demon which grants them special powers such as turning humans into zombies. So they seek for revenge with their newly inherited powers. It was also later that Remus and Slyvia uncovered that Romulus was the person who killed Slyvia. Surprisingly, Slyvia did not mind about it but Romulus did explain the situation to them.

When they had their revenge, they found out that they were being trick and used. They decided to break their pact with the mysterious demon and live the remaining days being hunted to clear their sins.

Note: The story might not be a 100% accurate as it is a shorten version and I barely read through and gone through everything. :P

Chapters

There are 5 chapters to each story. Each story actually links to each other but each part does explain a story of its own. The story begins with The Duke Glouchester’s Lands followed by Realms of the Knights and Dracoon. The finale of the story is Cavalier which ends at chapter 20.

Ranking

You will be graded in ranks after completing each chapter. The grading will be based on the souls collected and the time used to complete the mission. Each rank rewards a different Dark Energy Points and you can attempt the mission completed as many times as you want if you want to farm some points.

The Game

Let’s talk about the Wrath Gauge. There is a red bar below your life bar. When it is full, you can release a special skill where you will slash anyone within a radius. When you kill anyone using that skill, they will automatically turn into your zombies. You can release this skill by pressing the circle and triangle together. During your battles, sometimes you will find a treasure box in red color. Once you unlock the box by hitting on it, you wrath bar will be filled up to the max.

Next, let’s talk about slamming your undead. You can slam your undead by grabbing it first (go to your nearest undead and press the circle button). Once you have grab one, move to the area with lots of enemies and hit the triangle button. It will slam the undead to the ground inflicting huge damage to the enemies in the surrounding area. This is very useful especially to collect souls and it will help you on your ranking a lot. It even clear enemies faster especially enemies which wields a shield.

During the game, there are tasks which require your undead to perform. The tasks are like creating a bridge, destroying archer towers, destroying statues, canons and catapults and many others. You will require a certain number of undead to perform each task. This is what make this game interesting.

Overall this is one hell of an exciting game. I’ve completed it 5 times already and I’m still playing it but not as often as few days ago. I’ve not completed Hell mode yet, haiz … The only setback is that there are too many checkpoints in the game. It will be better if they removed it. Fret not if you are dead while playing, there is unlimited continues for you to play on! Check out it this game, worth spending some time playing it!

I would like to share with you another casual game. It’s not entirely 100% leisure as some require type requires you to crack your brains to solve the puzzle. However, if you are the lazy kind there is a way to complete it without thinking at all. This is a block kind of game where you collapse blocks which are same in color (3 or more) or with some item such as color bombs. After completing every puzzle, you will be rewarded with Gold Coins.

You have to complete the line requires before the blocks fill up the screen. It will be game over when the blocks fills up the screen. The line is counted not when you destroy the blocks but each time when it fills the screen within a period of time. So keep destroying until the lines requires become zero and you will complete the challenge.

Classic Challenge

The blocks appear from bottom of the screens and slowly fill up. Your goal is to prevent it from filling up the screen and to erase the number of lines given for the challenge.

Puzzle Challenge

This challenge requires you to crack your brains!! You need to remove all the blocks without any leftovers. If you have some gold coins, go to the shop and purchase the puzzle hint where it will show you how to complete it step by step. You can also use gold coins to skip the mission after failing to complete the challenge once.

Strategy Challenge

This challenge requires a bit of thinking as well. After every move / click you make, one row of blocks will increase. Therefore, it is wise to think carefully as wrong decisions will make the screen fills up the screen faster.

Slider Challenge

Blocks in this challenge comes out from the side of the screen, left and right. The block will fills up any gap in between and fill up the screen too. I find this challenge the easiest as you can keep clicking X button to randomly destroy blocks without worrying anything.

Relapse Challenge

Blocks are emerging from top and bottom. Your eyes will be looking up and down to destroy the blocks before both ends meet together. Color bombs will be helpful if you hate this challenge.

Random Challenge

It will be a random challenge. You will have to complete the task given to you.

Casino

In the casino, you can use your Gold Coins to gamble for more Gold Coins. If you lose, your Gold Coins will be deducted. If you are lucky and won, more Gold Coins will be added as a reward.

Item Shop

This is where you spend your Gold Coins to puchase items to help you on each challenge. There are color bombs, inventory enlarger and etc …

There are a lot of new game reviews coming your way soon! I will be testing it out and hopefully I can complete the games as soon as possible to cover a game review for you. Till then ” Adios Amigo”!

This game will suit all Bejeweled lovers! However, it is slightly different. Instead of pairing up 3 or more tiles for scores, your mission here is to destroy the bricks to build a famous monument before the time runs out!

Stages

There are 8 different stages starting from Giza. Once completing Giza stage, the next stages will be unlocked one by one which is Babylon, Ephesus, Olympia, Halicarnassus, Rhodes, Alexandria and lastly Atlantis. There are 8 levels in a stage which means there are a total of 64 different puzzles to tackle.

Super Block

Erm .. there isn’t a name for it, so I named it super block for the explanation. This super block will block your pairing. It is an essential part of the building and you need to make it drop out of the puzzle to complete your mission. It is not easy to drop it once you reach later stages as the challenge comes with a funny shape.

Matching 4 Runes

Like is Bejeweled, you obtain a special block. In 7 Wonders, this rune blows up the entire row. Plan properly before using it as it is very useful to blow up corners!

Matching 5 Runes

Unlike Bejeweled, you will probably get a rune to destroy a special rune of the same type. In 7 Wonders, this special rune blows up the ascending and descending runes of its location. You can get pretty decent points here and it helps eliminate corner and lots of runes.

Special Rune (kinda like a Sun image)

This Special rune is obtained by getting lots of points. It destroys random tiles which are not yet destroyed and it is very useful to complete the game. This helps very much although it is not easy to make one.

Bonus Life

I’m not entirely confirmed about this, if I’m not mistaken, you will obtain a Bonus Life for every 1 million points you obtain through the game.

This game is enjoyable and suits Bejeweled fans a lot as it is similar but in a different concept. It is challenging as it comes in different shapes such as H or I and it will give you a hard time to clear it. Corners must be your first priority to destroy as it will take a long time to match the runes and it helps a lot when you have a 4 or 5 matching rune tiles to help you.

Do not worry if you do not have any moves left as it will rearrange the tiles for you without any penalty or deduction of lives. There are no hint buttons but there will be a hint for you if you really cannot find a rune to match.

Tips? Always tackle corners and clear the super block when it appears and use the special rune for the finishing move!

On buying the game, I wouldn’t recommend it unless it is really cheap. It is a small in file size which is downloadable to be stored in the memory card. Unless you are in the States or UK where PSP games are dirt cheap, I’m not forking out RM 100++ for games like this. No way! This game is a must play!
