Something funny happened this morning. After watching Manchester United winning 2-0 against West Ham United on Astro (Malaysia’s cable TV), so I went to sleep. It was around 6 a.m. While I was trying to catch some sleep, my ceiling fan and the light at the bathroom went out. Then I thought maybe there was no electricity!!
Then came the scary part!! No electricity seems fine but how come my radio is still on? I am still listening to the music but the fans and lights are out!? I freaked out for a second but with my eyes wide open staring around my room, I did not see any ghosts. My sis was even funnier, she was half awake and she came over to my room and asked me if there is electricity. So I told her “Yes & No”. Yes because the radio is still on and No because my fan did not function. She then went downstairs with her doggie and slept.
It was a funny incident, must be some fuse burnt somewhere or the power house is shortage of electricity supply. It is still half half now but I am over at Hau’s house and trying to catch some sleep. Got to check what is wrong and more money out of my pocket -.- Hopefully nothing major if not there goes my savings!

Changes October 29, 2008

Everyone goes through changes at various kind of age. The phase of changes as a kid, teenager and adulthood life and even the surroundings around you like moving abroad or falling in love. So what does it take to change? Change yourself to adapt to the new situation or let the changes be part of you? No, both are not the same and you can only choose either one!
2 days ago, I went to a supper session after a scrumptious buffet steamboat with Alvyn’s family and relatives. His dad, mum and I went to the coffee shop to meet his kopitiam buddies (all uncles, yea I do hang with people of all ages). So one of the uncles arrived late and most of the people there asked him where he disappeared for a few days. He replied that his son has got into troubled again and it is so serious this time that he sends him to the jail. He tried to bring some food for his just before coming over but his attempt failed.
His son was a friend of mine. He is a sweet talked boy but with a very bad behavior child. Anything that do not goes his way will leads to fights. Recently, he was indulging in drugs. I am not sure if any trafficking is involved and he also betrayed some gangsters. So his dad hopes that by sending him to jail would ease him from being killed alive and hope he can change into a better person during his stay there. I do hope he change as well.
Nian also mentioned in his blog recently about his life. He is trying to adapt to the recent changes he had been going through especially when his friends are splitting up for studies and abroad. Well, I know how it feels and I have gone through that kind of situations. Well, I understand his situation too since only me, him, Kian Heng and Ken Hong are only reachable. The rest of them have gone MIA while Wei Han is studying in Singapore. It is best to keep their contacts and at least meet up with them at least once a year. This is if you treasure their friendship that much, at least I do!
I was also talking to Hau’s mom early this morning about a relative of theirs. She got jailed for 8 years because the boyfriend and his brother was involved in drug trafficking. She just came back from Singapore and so happened that she has the keys to the boyfriend’s room and the raid happened. She was kind of innocent and was send to jail and the court cases keep going on and released after 8 years as the court could not proved that she was guilty of drug possession. I heard she had change and is very religious. She does daily prayers to clean her sins. Well, I will be meeting her shortly as Hau’s mom as me to attend her birthday celebration few hours from now.
I have been lazy recently, not my kind of attitude but during my stay in Indonesia has made me that way. I will be going through a change back to my workaholic ways again, I have too. If I can change someone, these are what I will change in them:
Peter Chin : His drinking habits and his spending like money grows on tree
Sing Hau : His anti social-ness and his attitude towards work
Bear : His laziness!!!!
Nian : Stop spending!!
K. Hong & K. Heng : Would like both of them to study more … btw they are not brothers!
So what does it take for a person to change? Give it a tinker. Do you change because the economy downfall is burning a big hole in your pocket with your shrinking salary and growing expenses? Change because you want to be a better person and a better life? Do you change or let the changes change you?
High School Musical 3 (2008) October 27, 2008

As I mentioned earlier in my previous blog about High School Musical, there are people who love it and hate it. I went to the cinema to watch it with Alvyn and Yen Hau yesterday. There were people of all ages ranging from parents to little kids age around 6 years old. The kids were hilarious as some of them clapped their hands after each song and some even cheered “Yay!!”. There were one little boy who did not fancy the movie and started running round the theater and even came out of nowhere to frighten Yen Hau with a “Boooo”. Another kid even started singing to his own musical theme during the movie.
The movie begins with the Wild Cats losing badly during the finals of the basketball tournament. At half time break, the coach told them that as senior players that have 16 minutes to change whatever it takes in the court and go out and have fun. They went out with a bang and won the tournament as back to back champions.
So it was back to school and everyone was busy with their finals and personal stuffs. With some persuasion and Troy leading the way, everyone was involved in Spring Musical which is the last performing arts in their high school years. Kelsi was in charge of the songs and arrangement and Ryan was the chorographer. Troy, Kelsi, Ryan and Sharpay were being considered a scholarship in the Julliard School of Arts and will be review during the Spring Musical.
Troy was having some ups and downs as usual. He did not want his life plan out without him making any decisions. Gabriella in the other hand was offered a scholarship and has to leave East High. It was hard for her to say goodbye to her friends and have to miss out the prom night with Troy.
Troy went to Stanford University to look for Gabriella after she called to break up. They patched up and waltz together before heading back to East High for the 2nd part of the Spring Musical. Everything went smoothly except for Sharpay who humiliated herself in front of audience. It was later announced that both Kelsi and Ryan had been offered the scholarship at Julliard.
The show ended during the graduation with Troy giving a graduation speech. “We are all in this together” graduation theme was played and they sing and dance before the curtains came to an end.
I do not find the songs as catchy as the previous ones but it is still entertaining overall. Maybe it is because I did not hear the songs before on air. I guess after watching this movie, most of the kids will be starting to ask their parents for waltz classes as the prom night was waltz theme.
Fish Spa October 27, 2008

A week ago, I went to fish spa with some friends. I heard about it for quite some time and it was me who introduced it to most of them after reading about it from Star Newspaper introducing an outlet at Pavilion KL. So it was about time I tried it out.
So I was there beside the pool with some people already around the mini pool. They were soaking their feet and chatting among each other. I was looking for a spot and so I head to one corner of the pool. I did not stuck any of parts inside yet as I was glaring at the fishes of different sizes and I heard some of them mentioned that the fishes had grown bigger already.
I soak my legs and lifting it in the water let everyone else. The moment I put my legs inside, the fishes swim over in swarms and started nibbling my feet (more like sucking it actually). I felt so ticklish and immediately I pulled both my legs out of the water. The bottom of my feet has always been sensitive to touches and the fishes keep attacking that particular area. Then I stuck both my feet attached to the ground but the fishes still try to attack the bottom part by nibbling the side area. I still kept my feet stuck to the ground firmly and try to hold my laughter.
Moments later, some of them left the spa as they cannot withhold the ticklish feeling. Immediately after they left, the fishes swim over and start nibbling my feet. It freaked me out for a second as when they were around I only had about 10 to 15 fishes on each leg but now I had more than 50 fishes on each leg. It makes me want to break into laughter even more and I occasionally giggle for most of the time. So after my legs, I try dipping my hands inside. The feeling was different as my hands are not hyper sensitive and I left after that.
Fish spa or fish therapy was introduced in Malaysia for 6 months or so and had been growing rapidly around Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. It was believe that the fishes will nibble away your dead skins but to my experience it is like nibbling every part of your skins. It is like cleaning of the dirt from your skins. You do not feel any pain but you will have a sense of ticklish feeling which is like some light electrocution. It may also feels like a numb leg at times when you sit too long with not enough blood circulation.
Whether it is effective or not, I am not sure. It sure is a fun time sitting around the pool and let the fish nibbling you away. I also overheard people’s conversation that it is not healthy as the water is contaminated with smelly feet (Hong Kong Feet as we called it in Chinese) and all the bad skins disease maybe. Well, I am sure that they change the water occasionally but one thing for sure is that you will be able to notice the fish dropping at the bottom of the pool.
I wanted to take some pictures but my hand phone was not with me at that moment. Xiao Boy said they do not have such a thing in Singapore and wants to try it out when he comes over next month. I will try to take some pictures of it when I bring Xiao Boy over next time. Give it a try and have a giggling and stress release session while the fishes nibble you away … hehehehe … by the way you might get goose bumps too!

It is time for another PSP game review. This is a casual game which is quite different from the rest. There are 3 different types of mini game. You begin by choosing a character and challenge the computer’s character in a best of 3. There are 4 stages altogether and by completing it once, you unlock another character. The type of mini game is explained below.
How to play?
You begin the game by selecting a color tile. If the NPC (Non Playing Character / Computer) selected a color, you cannot choose the same color or if the NPC uses her help to block off your color tile. By selecting a color tile which is beside your main one, you will change the color tile selected into your one. The first person to complete the mission given will win the challenge. You only have about 5 seconds to make your selection and decision, so make and decide your choice wisely.
Stars
While capturing tiles across the map, you will obtain some stars. The stars are helps which you can use to disrupt the NPC or help you win the stage faster. Help such as limiting your opponent’s tiles, breaking a concrete tile, changing tile colors across the map and etc. I do not use it much as I do not need it, so I do not have many ideas about it. Sorry, I cannot explain much as the ones I explain are the ones used by the NPC to limit my moves.
Capture the Flag
The objective is to change your color tile as fast as possible to reach the center tile with the flag as fast as possible. Majority tiles will not count but if your tiles spread faster across the map will be a plus. So plan your moves properly especially if you start after the NPC.
Capture the King
There are 3 big tiles with 12 small tiles surrounding it. The objective is to capture 6 of the small tiles to capture the big tile which is known as the King. The king has a chameleon picture in it and it is easily noticeable. Your objective is to move as fast as possible to capture 2 kings for victory. It is not an easy task.
Capture the Territory
The objective is simple. Your mission is to conquer 50% of the map and you win. So color your tiles as fast as possible across the map and the victory is yours.
The game is easy to play but it has a limitation. It only consists of 4 stages and it is done. You can have some fun if you challenge your friend, however the fun will be short lifted as it gets boring after a while. It could be better if there are more NPC challenges with a harder option, it maybe repetitive but it is challenging. You could play this game if you have maybe 30 minutes or less to kill will waiting for something. Anything more than that will be very boring.
The Lopez Family (Part II) October 24, 2008

The Lopez Family updated their blog recently. The blog was not written by any of the Lopez members but their coach. Those who did not read part one can refer to my previous blog or can visit their site at http://firstfamilyoftaekwondo.blogspot.com/. For a recap, the Lopez family consists of brothers and sisters who represent the USA taekwondo team during the recent Beijing 2008 Olympic.
Their coach wrote their expressions of the faces during the opening ceremony and the outcome of the matches. On their blog also contain a slide show of photos of the recent Olympic and their travels. You can also see them celebrating with the medals. I was hoping I could see the medal close up but to my disappointment there was not any.
I am also curious on how Mark (one of the brothers) won with a broken hand sustained during the first match. Anyway, a big congrats to him by winning the silver medal at the Olympic. Diana and Steven also won a bronze medal in their categories except for Diana whom lost in the first round but gain some valuable experience.
I wonder if I will have the opportunity to attend the Olympic. I know the 2012 Olympic in London will definitely not in my favor and I can only watch it on television. I wonder if the Olympic is the same as the Commonwealth Games. I had much fun at the Commonwealth Games which was held in Malaysia especially with a VIP pass where I could walk in and out of any venues. Most of you will wonder how I get the VIP pass, I obtained one as my ex-company was a sponsor in the event. Anyway, I miss most of the Olympic this year as I was in Indonesia at least Datuk Lee Chong Wei did us proud with a silver medal. Cheers to him!!
Yggdra Union (PSP) October 19, 2008

It is time for another PSP game review. Recently I was busy with stuffs so I do not have much time to play and try out certain games. I have been trying a few games the last few days and here is the first review after a month.
The story of the game revolves around a princess named Yggdra whose country have been attacked and taken over. While being pursue by the enemies, she hid in the Thief’s cave for safety. The enemy burn down the cave and Milanor (Head of Thieves) end up defeating the enemies. Yggdra pleaded Milanor for help to recapture the kingdom in exchange for Castle Paltina. So off they went and later rescuing Durant and other NPCs soon join along heading to recapture the kingdom.
The game is a card based strategy game but it is not similar to Yu-Gi-Oh or Full Metal Gear Acid (will write about this game later, still at the final stage). It has nice cute graphics and interesting storyline but I skipped it because it is long-winded. You start off each battle with an objective such as defeating someone, recapture the town, fleeing from battle and etc… You will be given a limited amount of party members to choose while some characters are a must.
Here are some of the features of the game:
Cards
You will have to select some cards to enter a battle. Each card has a special skill which you could activate during the battle by the Ace. The cards also determine the number of steps you can move during the battle. Choose your cards wisely and level them as much as you can.
Battle
Battle is on auto mode. You only need to choose between defensive or aggressive during battle and activation of skills. The number of armies you have left after each battle will determine the number of Morale (HP) to be deducted. You can only battle once each turn so set your formation well and plan your movement ahead.
Formation
You will be able to form a formation for a battle. The more character you have in a formation means the more character will be attacking the enemies around the enemy’s formation. This means you have a higher chance to kill off the enemies. The formation varies when you are in the woods and in the town / castle.
Items
You obtain items through slain leaders, Milanor stealing of enemies (card skill) or being rewarded at the end of the battle. You can equip the items obtain or use it to improve your Morale. If you equip the item, you can use it for a certain maps and it will be gone. So decide wisely.
Maps
The movement of the characters differs on different terrains such as desert, forest, river and etc… Choose your cards wisely to avoid your cards finishing or unable to reach the goal destination.
The game has 9 chapters. Once you finished it, it will unlock hard mode, Hyper speed (do not know what it is) and Extra contents. Max level for each character is level 20. So have fun playing it today, it is a different RPG game altogether. Try to finished the battle fast to obtain extra stat bonuses when you are MVP. Help the poor princess recapture the kingdom, she will give her castle Paltina to you ^-^.

Keroro October 12, 2008
Posted by itsahanzo in Anime, Manga.add a comment
The anime or manga is about a group of alien frogs from planet Keron being assign to invade and destroy Planet Earth or known as Pekapon in their language. Upon arriving on earth, the Keroro Platoon somehow got separated. Keroro lurked in the Hinata household until he was discovered by Natsumi and Fuyuki, after which he was captured. With the Kero Ball, his weapon, taken from him and his army having abandoned him, Keroro easily surrendered. The freeloader becomes troublesome for the Hinata Family. Each time he is found guilty of something, Natsumi physically abuses him to no end. But now, through being the housekeeper of the Hinata household, Keroro has become familiar to living an adventurous life on Earth.
Here are some brief explanations of the Keroro Platoon:
Sergeant Keroro
Green in color. Lazy and loves to collect Gunpla (Gundam models). Always gets into trouble and finding ways to get more money for his Gunpla collections.
Private Second Class Tamama
Black in color. Idolized Sergeant Keroro and he rely on pure energy in battle.
Corporal Giroro
Maroon in color. His is a weapon expertise but often aggravated and is short tempered.
Lance Corporal Dororo
Blue in color. His ninja and assassination skills make him a valuable member of the team.
Sergeant Major Kururu
Yellow in color. The brain of the platoon with an evil laughter. He mastermind battle strategies and creates invention for battle victories.
Each anime consists of 2 stories. The stories are short and funny. Every story is not related and continued so if you missed a part of two it will be fine. There are lots of episodes released but I am not sure of the total episodes. The songs are catchy and relaxing too. Some people might like it some might not .. so give it a try ?
