I have read this book previously and I came across it at about 4 am this morning up in the shelves of Alvyn’s cabinet. I took it and read it since I could not sleep and I finished it at about 6 a.m.
At present economic situation, it is good for everyone to read this book. This book is about 2 mice and 2 little human living in the world of maze and how to adapt to changes and faces reality. You will have to then picture yourself in present situation as to which character are you at the moment and how to get your cheese. The cheese in this story denotes the mission, your dream or the goals you are chasing and how to achieve it with positive attitude.
Here are some words of wisdom which I took from the book directly.
- Change Happens – They keep moving the Cheese
- Anticipate Change – Get ready for the Cheese to move
- Monitor Change – Smell the Cheese often so you know when it is getting old
- Adapt to Change Quickly – The quicker you let go of old Cheese the sooner you can enjoy new Cheese
- Change – Move with the Cheese
- Enjoy Change! – Savor the Adventure and enjoy the Taste of New Cheese!
- Be Ready To Change Quickly and Enjoy it Again & Again! – They keep moving the Cheese!
Those are the summarized words of wisdom left by a friend for another friend who is reluctant to change. Hopefully one day he will be aware and move on with those words of encouragement.
The story of “Who moved my Cheese?” was created by Dr. Spencer Johnson to help him deal with a difficult change in his life. It showed him how to take his changing situation seriously but not take himself seriously. It is one of the best sellers with one million hardcover copies in print within the first sixteen months and over ten million copies in the next two years.
Highly recommended. They even have teen’s edition too. Alternatively, you can also visit the site www.whomovedmycheese.com.
Move with The Cheese and Enjoy it! The end … or is it a new beginning?
