High School Musical is an Emmy award winning American television film. Upon its release on January 29, 2006, it became the most successful Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM) ever produced, with a television sequel High School Musical 2 released in 2007 and the feature film High School Musical 3: Senior Year to be released theatrically in October 2008. It will be the first Disney Channel Original movie to have a theatrical sequel. A fourth installment, High School Musical 4, has been announced to be in the writing stages.
I know many of you have already watched it. It is either you love it or hate it. There are many who criticize that most of them cannot act but some sure can sing. (either edited version or not, we can only assume) I never intend to watch it but since working in Indonesia I have no live there and I though why not since I have been listening to tracks on High School Musical.
High School Musical started out with Troy Bolton (Zac Efron), a basketball star, and Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Hudgens) met during a New Year Eve’s party. They discovered chemistry between them and it all begins with the audition for winter musical auditions. Troy trying to juggle between 3 things – basketball, the winter musical and love but his friends were not convince as they never lost focus and singing was not his style. That is how it ended with all 3 packages in hand. This is a super short review as most people already watched it.
The sequel continues with Sharpay and Ryan Evans (Ashley Tisdale and Lucas Grabeel) plan to spend the summer at their family’s country club, Lava Springs (“Fabulous“). However, Sharpay’s summer plans also include breaking up Troy and Gabriella by getting Troy hired at Lava Springs, and making her move on him. Instead Troy managed to sweet his way into hiring the entire group of friends to work.
While Troy continues to worry about obtaining a college scholarship, Gabriella is simply thrilled to be in one place over the summer; the first time in her life when she doesn’t move to a new city. Sharpay schemes harder than ever to make the Wildcats miserable, and win Troy, who has to choose between two worlds: his own with the Wildcats and Gabriella; or another, in which Sharpay’s family can offer him an easy way to college and other luxuries he has only dreamed about. It ended with the talent show with Troy solving the problems at the end of summer job.
High School Musical 3 due to release soon and here is a short preview on it. Now high school seniors, Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez are facing the prospect of being separated from each other as they go off in different directions when graduating from East High. Joined by the rest of their Wildcat friends, including Sharpay Evans, Ryan Evans, Chad Danforth, and Taylor McKessie they stage an elaborate spring musical reflecting their experiences, hopes and fears about the future.
Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad’s Blog and my view on Malaysia Today September 28, 2008

Jimmy was asking me to add more links into my blog so I wondered what I should include as I do not frequent much links that interest people. I came across our ex Prime Minister’s blog while reading www.malaysiakini.com one day. So I decided to visit his blog and I found many interesting facts to read and it is knowledgeable.
I am not a political person but I have been following politics since last year or so frequently. Since visiting his site, I have gained lots of knowledge and I agreed with some of his thoughts on certain things as I believed sometimes when you read the daily newspaper there are a lot of cover ups and certain wrong decisions made by wrong parties, which you have other better decisions in mind.
Dr. Mahathir is a good leader in my opinion, as most people would not agree with me. I believed that he has helped us during his years in service. No one is perfect and no one will be 100% clean. Does the recent government elected by the people guarantee us they will run a clean operation and help the people? I do not think so. So why put him as a hatred person.
The current world economy is in a messed. No one expected it collapse so suddenly and who would expect that Lehman Brothers will suddenly go bankruptcy after 100+ years in service. Nothing is permanent and no one can foresee such thing happening. Despite such breakdown, the US government is forking out trillions of dollars to save their economy which looks more like a bankrupt nation. Even with trillion of dollars stocked up as backup, they still have more to command the world’s economy, where does the money comes from? Despite all this, smaller countries are being threaten and maybe if some other stabilized countries make a move there will be a change of power, which I doubt so.
Back to our homeland, our country; Malaysia. The country is in a mess at the moment. Attacking the government for power and wealth (behind the scenes) has made the people suffer even more. Malaysians are keeping track of the activities but are unable to do anything but suffer while the politicians play their game. Even if we have a change in power, will they guarantee us, the people, that they will protect the people’s benefit and improve our quality of living? I doubt so they can do it overnight or even within a year as the things will require time and proper planning. Why not work with the government meanwhile and ease the people of their suffering?
Many of my friends even consider working for another country than Malaysia. This is due to our tiny currency and high cost of living. The people have commitments to fulfill and needs to survive but if everything is rising but the income is stagnant or going down, the people will not leave in peace and sooner or later more robberies tend to happen. I though of pegging the currency which Tun use it during the recession back in 90s but will our current government have such funds to do so. (I though of it before Tun made a statement on his blog ^-^) The funny thing is that when the US Dollars drops our Ringgit Malaysia followed. It should be the other way round, right? With our currency dropping, Singapore Dollar has increase a lot recently almost hitting 2.43 at certain days. Sooner, Malaysians will be taking their holidays at our own islands. How can we afford holidays at other nations when our currency is so little? Imagine visiting our neighbor Singapore, we already need to fork out 2.43 times for expenses. A simple meal of McDonalds at SGD 8 will cost almost RM20.00. What about other expenses when shopping and visiting?
I am not a politician and the information above is based on my personal opinion. I feel that we are in a dire need of improvement by the government as soon as possible and they should stop fighting against each other for power and help the people. As for friends of mine, visit Tun’s blog for knowledge. You may not like him but he do teaches you new stuffs and you will have a better in sight of what is happening in the world. Tun’s blog is http:chedet.com.
